Concessive clauses (unreal)

Concessive clauses of the unreal are introduced with the conjunctions auch wenn or sebst wenn.

Like clauses of condition that express the unreal, concessive clauses denote a requirement whose fulfillment, however, does not lead to the result expressed in the main clause.

In these clauses, the Konjunktiv II expresses something unreal. The requirement stated does not correspond to reality.
