Notes on zu nicht brauchen + zu + infinitive

(Nicht) brauchen + zu + infinitive is usually used to express lack of necessity or limited necessity along with the following words: bloß, nur, erst, kaum.

Example

Du brauchst mir nicht zu helfen.

Du brauchst die Suppe nicht zu essen, wenn sie dir nicht schmeckt.

Du brauchst nur anzurufen und ich komme sofort zu dir.
