The pronominal adverbs

The pronominal adverbs substitute a preposition and a personal, demonstrative, interrogative or relative pronoun.
They are the combination of the adverbs da and wo with certain prepositions and are invariable.
Examples |
damit, dafür, dabei, darüber, danach, darum usw. |
womit, wofür, wobei, worüber, wonach, worum usw. |
The pronominal adverbs refer to inanimate things. When referring to animate things, we use prepositions with personal, demonstrative or interrogative pronouns.
