First declension

The first declension includes adjectives that are accompanied by the definite article. They are inflected as follows.

In the first declension, only two endings are used : -e and –en. In the nominative singular of all genders and in the accusative singular of masculine and feminine adjectives, the ending –e is used. All other forms end in-en.

An adjective is also inflected according to the rules of the first declension when it is accompanied with specific words, other than the definite article.
