The reciprocal pronouns

The reciprocal pronoun einander expresses a mutual relationship and can only be used in the plural number with verbs of group II, i.e. with verbs that can also be used as reciprocal. The pronoun einander is invariable in all cases and persons.

Besides einander, reflexive pronoun types of the plural number can also be used as reciprocal. In this case, the word gegenseitig is often used to clarify the reciprocal relationship.
